FOSTER is only a 5 minute walk from the popular Como Lake Park, located at 686 Gatensbury Street, between Como Lake Avenue and Foster Avenue.

If you’re an avid walker, jogger or fisherman, you will love this beautiful green space. Go for a stroll along the 1 km path surrounding the lake, take a deep breath, and enjoy the beautiful lakeside settings. If you’re lucky, you’ll see a wide variety of birds around the lake.

On a sunny afternoon, reward yourself with a peaceful afternoon. Bring a book and settle in on a lakeside bench while watching the lake activities.

Fishing at the lake is open to everyone that possesses a valid BC Freshwater Fishing Licence. Hang out on one of the floating piers and try your luck at catching the local rainbow trout. No power boats are allowed on this 5 hectare lake, so you’re guaranteed a serene setting perfect for luring in your catch.

Parking is available at the north and south ends of the park. There is also a picnic shelter for you and your friends to enjoy. The park also includes a tots playground, and public washrooms.
