Coquitlam is filled with visual arts, performing arts, cultural activities and numerous festivals. Check out Cultural Coquitlam as this organization offers year round events throughout the city.

Love local music? Check out the 3rd annual Music on the Grill Summer Series at the Evergreen Cultural Centre. The 2011 concert line-up is sure to please a variety of musical tastes and features award-winning singer/songwriters and musicians. The final concert is July 30th of this three concert series. In keeping with previous Music on the Grill concerts, each evening begins with a delicious BBQ dinner on the patio overlooking beautiful Lafarge Lake, followed by a fabulous concert in the Studio Theatre with new and improved cabaret-style seating.
Coquitlam Parks, Recreation and Culture Services offers a variety of programs for residents of all ages. Learn more about nature, play your favorite sport, or take a dance class!

Head to the Panorama Spray Park to cool off on a warm summer afternoon! This is just one of the dozen pools that Coquitlam features, in addition to great parks. Burquitlam Park is just steps from GEORGIA and features a baseball diamond, tennis court, basketball court, and expansive greenspace for field sports.

Working on your golf game? Head to the Vancouver Golf Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in North America. The club just announced that it will be hosting CN Canadian Open in August 2012.

Did you know that Coquitlam and nearby Port Moody are hidden gems for hiking and biking trails? The Halvor Lunden trail and Diez Vistas provide access to alpine lakes and stunning 360 degree views of local mountains. Lafarge Lake offers opportunities for fishing, and you may be lucky enough to catch your next meal of Trout or Whitefish.

Check out the Coquitlam Summer Farmer’s Market each Sunday from 9am to 1pm if you are looking for fresh fare. This market features local produce, preserves, and talented crafters.
