Eating healthy should always be a priority but I have to admit that I’ve been a bit bad the past few months of winter “hibernating” - meaning I’ve been a staple on my couch, helping myself to one too many plates of holiday feasts and goodies…you get the picture. Thankfully, there is plenty of fresh, good food and produce conveniently near WESTWOOD so that we can all steer ourselves back on track. The Coquitlam Farmers Market had been gathering the community together since 1996 and has been an outlet for crafters, farmers, and bakers to sell their goods. The Summer Farmers Market will be opened on May 10^th until October 26^th. Currently the Winter Farmers Market is still ongoing and is held at the Port Moody Recreation Complex on alternating Sundays from 10 am-2 pm until April.

Planet Organic Market is only two minutes away from WESTWOOD and features aisles of organic food, a deli counter offering lots of delicious eats, and nutritional supplements. Check them out to find out why it’s been so popular with the sales team at WESTWOOD.

Kin’s Farm Market is located just three minutes away inside the Oxford Village. They have lots of fresh produce to offer along with exceptional customer service.

Costco, notorious for their bulk sizes, is just five minutes away off of Lougheed Hwy and brings us exceptional value. Last but not least, T & T Supermarket is located just five minutes away behind Coquitlam Centre and is my go-to market to purchase everything I need for Asian cooking. They carry produce, meats, seafood, sauces for cooking, noodles, snacks, and much more for us to bring the flavours of Asia to our kitchens. If you’re on the go, stop by their bakery or deli section for fresh ready-to-eat goods.
