The Lower Mainland is consistently ranked as one of the most desirable places to live in the world. A major contributor to this ranking is it's naturally beautiful setting - which is definitely on display at Burke Mountain. In this week's blog we'll highlight a few places that truly set Burke Mountain apart, as well as look at the many amenities, recreational centers, and other aspects that make TATTON’s neighborhood a great place to live.

To start, the TATTON community wraps around Victoria Park which provides a beautiful outlook for many of the homes.

 

The park is frequently filled with people playing soccer, baseball, or simply throwing a tennis ball for their family pet. Having this type of luxury on your doorstep really sets TATTON apart in the Burke Mountain area.

If you are into a more rugged experience, Minnekhada Regional Park is only a quick drive down Victoria Street.

Minnekhada has 175 hectares of nature to explore via it's numerous trails. Or you can plan a more relaxed day and simply pack a picnic and visit one of it's many great spots for an afternoon lunch.

 

Another great opportunity to visit the great outdoors is the Port Coquitlam Trail. The PoCo Trail is a 25km trail that encircles the city and is frequently used by walkers, runners, and cyclists.

Right beside the PoCo Trail is the Hyde Creek Recreation Center.

 

This aquatic center offers a lap pool, leisure pool, river run, climbing wall, water slide, sauna, whirlpool, and steam room. This is a great place to spend an afternoon as a family and it’s only minutes away from TATTON.

A major focal point of the community is the Town Center Park, which is just down David Avenue. 

It has numerous facilities including artificial turf fields, baseball diamonds, running tracks, skateboard parks, tennis courts, etc. This is a great place to start if you are looking to get involved in community sports and activities.

Finally, if you want to get away from it all, the tranquility of the Coquitlam River offers a reprieve from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
